Hello,
My name is Michael Gomez and I am so excited to become the next Executive Director for Journey to Bethany. I look forward to continuing the work begun by our community and survivors we serve.
I come with a background of 35 years working at Hallmark Cards, Inc, 11 ½ years as the Director of Parish Ministries and Business Manager of St. Agnes Catholic Parish in Roeland Park, KS. For the past 2 months I have, and continue to serve as the Facility Manager at St. Paul Catholic Church in Olathe, KS.
My wife Jean and I have been married since 1981 and currently live in Roeland Park. We have one daughter. She and her husband have been blessed with two children. We love our family time, and try to take advantage of that as often as we can,
I feel a calling to help others and have tried to do so with family and friends, but also apply that calling in every role I have served in my career. I want to do this during my time with Journey to Bethany. I look forward to working with our amazing volunteers and to listening and learning from our Journey to Bethany survivors.
