Community Conversations

Healing for All Harmed by Clergy Sexual Abuse

What if there are other people that feel the same way? Maybe others who have experienced abuse. Others who are angry with the injustice.

What if there are people who care? People who want to help.

What if you could learn about options and resources to help ease the burden?

At Journey to Bethany’s Community Conversations people are finding just this.

Community Conversations strive to create a safe, welcoming space to gather, share and process whatever you may be feeling.

We know there is a lot of healing that is needed. Healing for all from clergy sexual abuse.

Survivors, those who support survivors, and anyone in search of healing are invited to join us on Zoom every quarter from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.

Previous Community Conversations in late 2021 and early 2022

What started as an opportunity to discuss the film, Procession, became a place to connect people looking for a way forward from clergy sexual abuse. We met survivors their families, pastoral ministers, former priests and historians. More importantly, they met each other. Journey to Bethany will help to support and strengthen these connections.

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend. We learned so much from you that we can use to help others. We’ll continue to engage the entire community of survivors and supporters as we add more services.
